Using Design and Technology for Social Good

This talk will cover the path of design technologist, activist, and educator, Danne Woo. Born and raised in San Diego the son of two graphic designers, Woo was exposed to and inspired by all things design since birth. Although design has always been a part of his life, his obsession with emerging technologies, programming, and engineering has allowed him to look at design from an entirely different perspective. The projects he has worked on for more than a decade combine these two worlds of design principles and technological tools. The topics that inspire many of these projects mainly focus on how to better the world we live in and the people who inhabit it.
