Revision Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide inclusive access to art, culture, social practice, and environmental education through the framework of a creative workspace. Revision extends opportunities for marginalized individuals to start their creative careers through an arts scholarship where they are given the tools and support to build a successful microenterprise. This method creates equity, self-advocacy, and representation in the arts community.
Additionally, their practice is largely committed to environmental education with 80% of their working studio containing recycled materials. Their motto is Reduce, Reuse, Revision!

Take part in a self-guided tour at Revision Creative Workspace where you’ll interact with resident artists as they work on their craft, view a sample of projects made from various recycled materials, and participate in a collaborative art making experience. Attendees will be given a brief tutorial on primitive hand weaving on a standing, oversized loom.
Following the tutorial, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute toward our communal tapestry, using a selection of scrap fabric remnants, such as shredded textiles, yarn, and rope. The completed weaving will be displayed in our gallery at the end of San Diego Design Week. No experience is necessary, beginners encouraged to attend!
