Southern California Street Art: Film Screening and Exhibition

Watch a presentation of the documentary that traces the installation and significance of the upcoming exhibition, Street Legacy: SoCal Style Masters. This exhibition showcases nearly 100 of the best-known artists and their artworks from Southern California representing diverse subcultures including lowrider, surf, skate, tattoo, and graffiti cultures.

The documentary captures the month of planning and installation, leading up to the show, world-famous street artist Kenny Sharf’s painting of a mural on a 100ft wall, and interviews with key artists and organizers at the event. The intention of the documentary is to inspire upcoming artists, instill a sense of creativity, and bridge the gap between the worlds of high art and underground street culture.

Directed by Hunter G.S., with the exhibition curated by Bobby Ruiz of Tribal Streetwear and Jim Daichendt.
